Michael Paulo (b. Michael Anthony Tatsuo Paulo, 1956- ) is an American saxophonist and composer born in Hawaii and based in California. He debuted in the Hawaiian pop/rock band Kalapana with Sano Kenji and gained some popularity in Japan. This led him to release a solo album in the country. He pursued his solo career while also being a live and studio musician for international artists. He is additionnally involved in the production of jazz concerts and festivals in California and Hawaii.

Not only did he play the saxophone for Amuro Namie’s 1996 songs Don’t wanna cryi was a fool and present, but he also was part of her live band between 1996 and 2000 including her performance in Hawaii (2000).

His collaborations include Al Jarreau, James Ingram, Rick Braun, Peter White, Oleta Adams, David Benoit, Carl Anderson, Johnny Mathis, Patti Austin, Jeffrey Osborne, Bobby Caldwell, Kenny Loggins, Herbie Hancock, Andrew Ford, Yazawa Eikichi, Anri, Iijima Mari, globe, atsushi from EXILE and many others.
