Kawai Yuko (1958- ) is a singer, vocal director, composer, arranger and pianist who started her carreer as a solo artist. She then worked as a studio musician, composer and vocal coach. She has provided background vocals for Amuro Namie before assisting Sano Kenji in her vocal direction for the album break the rules and finally becoming her vocal director at the occasion of several songs in 2002-2003. She wrote on her personal website that she also participated in Chase the Chance even though it unknown whether she provided background vocals or worked on the chorus arrangement.

She is not to be confounded with the famous pianist of the same name.
