Q: The theme of Past Future Tour 2010 is Love?

Namie: Yes, Love is the theme for this tour, especially even on the album, there are many songs with the word Love. Usually, I sing Love -related songs but this time around, the tour really takes it in a different way, with lights and colors that emphasizes LOVE more, there’s even a ‘LOVE’ ‘backdrop/display’ for a section of the tour. I believe that LOVE is important and it goes beyond the man-woman love.

Q: We heard that you have the best tour experience in Aomori?!?!

Namie: Everytime we perform at Aomori, the audience enjoy it so, they hare having a blast and so we as performers get caught up in the energy of the audience and sometimes, I yell back to the crowd but sometimes, as a performer you have to be careful. Even so, before I leave every time, I say ‘Aomori is the best’ lol! So on this point, fans have become interested in why only Aomori!

Q: We notice that more fans are cosplaying at your tours, are you happy?

Namie: Being a hall tour, I am able to see the audience very clearly lol. Sometimes, I’m shy because it’s so close but I see that they are having a good time and enjoying the concert, so with this thought, it makes it easier for me.

 

New Family

Q: You have a new member in your family!?! Name is Arare-chan?

Namie: Yes, I have a new tea cup poodle name ‘Arare-chan’; she’s silver but still very young, so she is naughty. When compared to Koto and Gacchan, her legs are 3 times longer! How did I come to name her? Well, since I already have a Gacchan, it seems that there needs to be ‘Arare-chan’ too, that’s all.

Q: You call yourself Atai-chan when posting on your blog, do you call yourself that?

Namie: No, it’s really just for the blog hahah.

Q: You are addicted to fur pompoms?

Namie: Yes, I hang it on my purse and cellphone. I saw my make-up artist with them and thought they were cute so now I’m collaborating with CLASKY to make them official tour goods.

 

Love Mail?

Q: You got a message while on tour that really made you happy. We noticed that you write about someone in your blog call [the person that I like very much], who is it?

Namie: Before, I exchanged number with Haruna Kondo, a female comedian, so we have been texting. She sent a picture of herself on the show dressed very cute but funny, so it makes me laugh.

 

Gourmet

Q: You said that one of the best things about touring is that you get to have local specialities, so this time around, what’s the most delicious?

Namie: There’s this restaurant in Hokkaido that I found on the internet; where they always sell out of everything so I had the opportunity to try it. Then there’s this Hokkaido yogurt call Crema D’or, they only produce about 10 bottles a day, each 5000 yen. It’s a thick yogurt, almost can be call creme cheese but it’s very good. As for strange food, I came across Katsu Parfait at Ehime. It’s a parfait with tonkatsu topping and they even write a warning that says, don’t think you are eating a tonkatsu! But once you are eating it, it is really tonkatsu lol!

 

In Monaco

Q: Were you excited to take part in the World Music Award in Monaco?

Namie: I was really excited through out that day, so many famous persons from around the world. However, I was most nervous before the performance since I did not have any personal time prior. After the award, I had the chance to go to the Monaco Grand Prix and drove around the track 1 time, was very impressed. I also went to Nice, it’s a very beauty city.

Q: The new CM is the theme of ‘hot’ summer?!

Namie: I guess everyone will say this especially when I’m walking in front of an explosion and although it’s computerized, it came out well and it made me think of the super hot summer.

Kya-Ba Girl

Q: You are a Cabaret Girl, ranked 119. We noticed in your blog that you are playing a game call Cabaret Girl; how’s it going and where are you?

Namie: Last week, I was ranked 119 lol but I don’t know how many from the top now but among my friends, I am the highest scoring. lol! Can never get into the top 10 maybe because the ranking always change, going from 4 to 5 digits base on the number of players. If one does not spend at least 5 hours playing, there’s no way you can maintain the ranking or get to the top lol!!! When you win, you get money that your character can spend on clothes, hairstyle etc. I want to go shopping for my character. My friends have used their money on decorative stuff, expensive even! I can see the personalities of each one of my friends this way hahhah. I even use my real name on this game – Namie lol!

 

Appli Mania

Namie: I like the application call toy camera and I use a few of them. I recommend the cute ones, like the one when you take a picture of many people and when the picture comes out, everyone becomes tiny/chibi size. I’ve also downloaded a tarot card application.
