Namie: It doesn’t seems tro be so long.

Cris: Yeah… We had meet at events, but it was really fast meetings.

Cris: 2009 passed fast to you?
Namie: Yes, it passed really fast.

Cris: Lately the time have been passing really fast, doesn’t it? To you, 2009 was what a kind of year?
Namie: This year was a really good year.

Cris: A good year… Why?
Namie: I wonder… I could do many lives. It was a very substancial year.

Cris: I see, I went to your show…
Namie: Thank you very much.

Cris: Your best album sold more than 1,700,000 copies, it top album, incredible. It was veru succesful. And you did a total of 64 shows inside the country and break the record for a female artist attracting more than 500,000 persons to see your show. 
Namie: Thank you very much.

Cris: According to some rumours, you’re mving. Do you move many times?
Namie: I don’t really move.

Cris: How many years do you take to move one time?
Namie: I wonder how many… But this time, I’m not moving to a new place, I’m just moving to another floor in the same apartment. This apartment is quite big.

Cris: So you like that place very much.
Namie: It seems so.

Cris: So you’re moving to a bigger place?
Namie: No, it’s the same size, but the light incidence is different, the plan of the house is delicately different, so it feels good.

Cris: About you new album, it’s the first original album after two years and half. How did you selected the songs for this album?
Namie: I always basically choose the songs aiming the lives, I also did the image for the lives, but this time it’s more like a album based only for listening, there’s medium and slow songs on it.

Cris: There’s many variations on it. What’s the meaning of the title, “PAST<FUTURE”?
Namie: Yes. It’s something like always moving forward.

Cris: In the “PAST” there’s many lines kind of erasing it. Does it means to not turn to the past? Or does it means that because there’s the past, there’s also the future…
Amuro:I think it’s both. Because we have a pest, we have the present, if you turn to the past you won’t progress. I think both are saying to turn to the future.

Cris: I see. So how about Amuro Namie future.
Amuro: I wonder how it will be. I can’t predict it myself. I’m always “immediatly doing now what I want to do now”, there was a long time I didn’t knew what I wanted so I just didn’t nothing. Now I’m relatively doing things without hurry in my own pace, so I can’t even imagine what’s is going to happen.

Cris: Somehow the songs… I was expecting it to be more R&B but there’s many eletronic songs. Dr. is also incredible with the “tcham tchatchatcha tcham” part. And also the first song, “Fast Car, it sounds very new. What do you think about Fast Car? Why did you choose this song?
Namie: When I heard many songs, I loved the idea of putting Fast Car as the first song, and also inside myself I think I had never sung songs… classical type songs. I never had such songs, so I was very charmed by it. At the video too, I’m dancing but the clothes aren’t the ones I’ve been always using, I also puted a kind of an era on it. I felt like I had never did something like that.

Cris: It feels kind of nostalgic. Your vocal in this song is really different.
Namie: Yes. It was a little hard.

Cris: This time Amuro Ray appears in one of your video clips.
Namie: Yes, they let us appear together.

Cris: How it was too see the animation of youself?
Namie: Hehe, I was really happy.

Cris: And Amuro Ray talked to you.

Namie: I think I’m from the same generation. My older brother was always called “Gundam, Gundam” at school.

Cris: So, Miss Amuro Namie, you will be starting a national wide tour from april until november, but this time it will have 73 shows in 8 months.
Namie: In summer I will take summer vacation, and then I do the second half from september.

Cris: It’s in the pace of a birth. Incredible. Its seems that this tour was a big wish for you, do you do something to endure for 8 months, your health, mind something like that.
Namie: That’s true… If it’s so long we need something like that. This time its a hall tour, and I’m also doing it in a “birth pace”, for one month I will stay at only one area going here and there, the last time tour was like that, but this time since it’s very long, I puted some time to rest. This way I think the lives will be ina good pace for both mind and physical. This time I’m taking a rest in summer, and the contents of the tour is the same, so I will be going to the tour with this feeling.

Namie: At New Year Holiday… I don’t know, I will spend it at ease.
