SHUN

Dancer, Choreographer

SHUN (Omura Shunsuke, 1975- ) is a dancer and choreographer who worked with Amuro Namie between 2006 and 2012. He is responsible for many of her choreographies during this era. His other collaborations include Koda Kumi, SMAP, Tamaki Nami, BENI, Nanami Hiroki.

In September 2017, he commented some of his choreographies for Amuro Namie’s music videos. He wrote that UNUSUAL was supposed to be an erotic choreography while make it happen would make Namie look like a “Sexy Professor”. ROCK STEADY was fun to shoot in Los Angeles. As for Let’s Go, he wanted to bring a rock feeling in it and added a microphone stand.

In September 2018, he dedicated a message to Amuro Namie on Instagram. He wrote that even before he debuted as a dancer, he was a fan of hers and would copy her moves. He repeated that he wanted her to sing and dance again and couldn’t believe she was retiring. As a choreographer, he was happy to have been able to work with her.
