Shinoyama Kishin

Shinoyama Kishin (1940- ) is a famous photographer whose work has been rewarded with multiple awards since the 1960s. His portraits, nudes and erotic pictures are regularly exhibited in art galleries. He shot Amuro Namie in 1995 for Spa! and then again in 1997 for Shukan Asahi: one of the 1997 photographs is included in his traveling show and photobook THE PEOPLE by KISHIN.
In 2021, he remembered his 1997 shooting with Amuro Namie: he said that it took less than 15 minutes as he wanted to capture a spontaneous image of her. The picture was taken just outside his studio.
