RYO (Tanaka Ryo, 1980- ) is a dancer and choreographer who worked with Amuro Namie in 2003-2004 and then again in 2008. It is interesting to note that one of his students, SHIKINO, became Namie’s dancer from 2012 to 2018.

His other collaborations include DREAMS COME TRUE, SMAP, Koda Kumi, BTS, TVXQ, Shimatani Hitomi, Utada Hikaru, Natori Kaori.

In September 2018, he posted a message dedicated to Amuro Namie on Facebook and Instagram. He remembered how 20 years ago, he dreamed to be on stage with her – a goal he achieved 5 years later. When he first heard about Namie’s retirement, he felt shocked and lonely as this experience was decisive for him as a dancer. He finally thanked her and wrote that he would miss her.
