Murata Yoichi (1963- ) is a trombonist, composer, music producer and arranger who pursued his career as a solo musician and a live and studio trombonist for international artists. He belonged to Yoichi Murata Group, the SUPER MARIO PLAYERS , SEATBELTS and now to Yoichi Murata Big Band. He is also involved in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 music composition and arrangement. He played the trombone for Amuro Namie’s 2011 song Tempest.

His collaborations include David Sanborn, Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer, Fred Wesley, Tower of Power, Marcus Miller, Shiina Ringo, Hirai Ken, JUJU, Hotei Tomoyasu, SMAP, Makihara Noriyuki, hitomi, DA PUMP, CHEMISTRY, MY LITTLE LOVER, Imai Miki, Southern All Stars, Pizzicato Five and many others.
