Lynn Mabry is an American singer, songwriter and arranger who debuted as a background singer in Sly and the Family Stone in the late 1970s before joining Parliement Funkadelic and co-founding The Brides of Funkenstein. She pursued her career as a live and studio vocalist and musician for other artists. She is Sheila E.’s business partner: they co-founded in 1996 Heaven Productions Music and in 2001 the Elevate Hope Foundation which provides music and arts education for at risk youth.

Not only did she provide background vocals for many of Amuro Namie’s songs between 1995 and 2000, but she also co-wrote LOVE 2000, GIVE IT A TRY and MI CORAZÓN with Sheila E. She was also part of Amuro Namie’s live band between 1996 and 2000.

Her collaborations include Rita Coolidge, Bette Midler, Fletwood Mac, Don Henley, Stevie Nicks, George Michael, Pete Escovedo, Eric Clapton, Sakamoto Ryuichi, George Clinton, Randy Hall, Elton John, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Céline Dion and many others.
