Joey Johnson (b. Joseph Johnson) is an American singer, songwriter, music producer and arranger who works both as a solo artist and background vocalist for international artists. He stayed in Japan several where he took the opportunity to collaborate with local performers and release reggae albums. Not only did he provide background vocals for several songs on Amuro Namie’s 1996 SWEET 19 BLUES, but he is also responsible for the chorus arrangement of You’re my sunshine.

His collaborations include Earth, Wind & Fire, Chaka Kahn, George Duke, Dallas Austin, Gladys Knight, Jennifer Holiday, Orlando Jones, Céline Dion, Emanuel Walsh, trf, hitomi, Suzuki Ami, SPEED, Obata Minako and many others.
