In 2019, Jetro Da Silva remembered his collaboration with Amuro Namie on his facebook page. He wrote: “Way before I played for the mega stars in the USA, I had the honor to play and be part of the all star band for the Japanese Super Star Namie Amuro with amazing musicians and persons like Kiki Ebsen, Will Wheaton, Lynn Mabry, Carlos Rios, Valerie Pinkston, Sheila E, Michael Paulo… it was indeed an honor to learn that I got the gig recommended by Land Richards, hired by Kenji Sano because the Grammy winner Mr. Randy Waldman was no longer available after recording the album.”

He added when we asked him more about his memories: “those were golden days. I was honored to be part of 3 of her DVDs live in Tokyo and had the privilege to learn a side of the Japanese culture that few have the opportunity to see and witness. Especially from the local’s perspective. (…) Yes, the band was indeed special and we all had a great time together as a group. Thanks to you and the fans in Japan, I only have amazing memories to share to the world.”
