What was the toughest thing debuting at a tender age of 14?

I had to leave my hometown, which is Okinawa, to go to Tokyo. But at tha time I was part of a group, so I received support from the other members. There were times I felt lonely but we could overcome that together as a group.  It was my first experience being in the entertainement industry. There were also fun times and later, I became a solo artist. Right at the beginning, there were a lot of anxieties and worries.

My debut was a very memorable time for me and also my encounter with Mr. Komuro Tetsuya. He was the producer for my albums and I had many wonderful experiences learning from him and it was a great turning point in my singing career.

What are your hopes for the future?

I would love to continue singing for next one or two years to come up with more songs for my fans and to hold concerts and I will really like to meet my fans.

Any advice for young aspiring singers?

When I detbuted at the age of 14, I felt like it was an impossible dream. There were many things I thought were impossible to achieve but I did not give up. I perservered and that’s how I was able to have a music career for twenty years. I think the most important thing is to not give up your dreams and keep trying.
