Amuro said “Boots should be definitely knee-high! I like it ’cause it shows the line very beautifully.” (Kait: there’s some fashion appointments of the editor, but I won’t translate it since it’s a little hard to translate the clothes nomenclature ._.)

On the other side of the tour that let 500,000 peoples crazy…!?
The “BEST FICTION TOUR” moved 500,000 people counting all the performances in Japan and at Asia. With the topic of the sales of the DVD, there’s another “Wow”.

“It was a very long tour. My previous tour, “Play”, and the “a-nation” were kind of a continuation of lives, and this time since October from last year until July of this year I was attending this tour. It was so long I didn’t even have the “it’s over feeling”. (Laughs) The tour was fun!”

When we talk about Miss Amuro, she’s also famous for singing at the top of her voice while dancing intensively, like a common athlete in a stoic stage.

“I rarely don’t see them, but those days I peeked a live from my teen years. When I did this, I felt so embarrassed. Now, maybe I would rather dance. (Laughs)
… The lives are getting harder year by year. I was thinking myself “I wonder why”. (Laughs) But this time, before the lives, I trained at the gym for one month. I did trainings to my heart pulse fall down faster when the singing and dancing rise. Everyday in one month before the live I would dance for around 6 hours a day, but when the tour starts the quantity of exercises decreases, becoming only two times a week for 2~3 hours only. That’s why the period I do the tours is when I most grow fat. Actually, I must confess that there was sometimes when I wore the costumes and thought “They are tight…” (Laughs)”

 

In Miss Amuro’s lives there isn’t a single talk.

“That’s true… If someday I do something like a dinner show, I will have to talk, so I’m thinking of practicing until this day comes. (Laughs) But talking alone is so unpleasant. Even if I got distracted no one will interfere, right…? I think no none wants to see me getting distracted, so I think it’s better for me to speak casually and carefree, but for some reason I have the impression I will end up spinning in my own wheels with the feeling “I must do like this”, furthermore, if I let that unpleasant mood in the air I can’t go to the next song… I end up thinking a lot careless things. (Laughs)”

She did some travel overseas to really relax during the “off time” after the tour.
Miss Amuro says that after the tours she wants to spend her time overseas. Traveling makes her relax totally.

“For almost 3 years, the only memory I have here in the summer is being confined in underground rehearsal room. But this summer I could rest a lot! After London, I went to Santorini Island at Greece, I came back to Japan once and then went to Hawaii. This was a very fulfilled summer vacation I think I will never have again. <3”

Since you are Okinawan, you have the image of “sea and summer”…
“That’s true… But I don’t really enter the sea. (Laughs) When I was in Hawaii I did body board. I think surfing is very cool too. The friends who went to Hawaii with me tried to surf, but they suffered so much just to keep standing on the board and I thought “It’s hard like this!? I can’t really do that”. (Laughs)”

You didn’t buy nothing in Hawaii, you just spend you time carefree?
“My meals were almost done by myself. I spent a healthy living waking up when the sun was rising at leisure… Anyhow, it was fun. At night, while looking the moon I would say “The moon moves so much in a short time, that’s incredible!” while eating the dinner with everyone. I was doing so slowly at Hawaii that the day when I noticed that there were only 2 days left to stay there, I suddenly stuffed my schedule of things to do there. That became a funny memory. (Laughs) Starting at the morning, I rode a horse, and drove a buggy and was bathed with dust. I came back to be in time for doing yoga at the sunset! At least it was what I was pretending, but I was so exhausted that I passed the yoga and offered to take a picture with everyone. (Laughs)”

With consecutive trips overseas, we thought she was really longing for those trips but she said “Not really. At any rate, when I go on a trip I’m always “relying on others”. (Laughs)”
“Before I was someone who didn’t really travel. But for around 3 or 4 years ago I went to Europe at the end of the year and it was so fun I went there every year. I can’t relax if I only work without taking a break and the fun and interest in things are gone. I stop feeling the joy in small things… This side of me is a little sad. I felt over again that being able to rest my mind and body this time was very important. That’s why now I’m very healthy. <3”

Interviewer: The bob wig in your live was cute! Do you intend to change your hairstyle?
Namie: “I wish to cut it, but I don’t have the courage to~. I want to try bangs, but that’s not easy. I used the bob wig thinking “But I want to ride in the vogue!”. Some time ago, aren’t there a quite amount girls with bob hair? I thought “It’s so cute~”. *heart* Ah, of course I do my haircare with (Vidal) Sassoon!!”

Interviewer: In the autumn-winter, what kind of fashion do you want to try?
Namie: “This year I bought the best puff fur and middle height boots. I’m using boots every year!! I don’t use the squished flat ones very much. I heard that the mouton boots are also in vogue, but it seems that I like to walk noisy with the sound of the heels taping. (Laughs) I couldn’t do shopping lately, so I buy my clothes mostly on the day of taking the photo shoots.”

Interviewer: The ideal date to do in the winter?
Namie: ” Hummm, I wonder what kind of date would be good~ *two hearts* It’s hard to say since I haven’t had a date for a long time! I can’t say nothing except the usual things like “going to cinema”!! (Laughs) It’s cold in the winter, so it’s a chance to glue in the person you like, right? So certainly it’s better to go out. Cinema isn’t good, because it’s indoor!! (Laughs) I wonder what is good… Just walking casually in the city with your beloved boyfriend isn’t enough funny? When it’s December the illumination is also beautiful in the city. About the fashion, isn’t it good to be very girlishly and carry a very small bag!? Small and elegant to the point of thinking “What on earth is inside that??” . (Laughs) I’m longing for a date linked with the season! Like “using yukata* in a date” at summer. This summer, I didn’t have a date, but I wanted to go see the fireworks**, so I bought a yukata!!*** I went at the department store and tried many sleeves. It was embarrassing because I had the impression that the others customers were all looking at me, but I was thinking “it’s important to test if it fits”. So I tried wearing it at home, but it was so difficult my head hurt a little. Yukatas aren’t good if you don’t really want to wear them!! (Laughs)”

*Yukata is a cotton kimono used in summer.
**In summer, there’s the hanabi taikai, a kind of festival people went to see fireworks. It’s seems to be very romantic for lovers and girls always care about being cute in their yukatas.

Interviewer: “Cute” and “cool”, which word are you happier to hear?
Namie: “No matter what age, I will be happy to hear people saying I’m cute! I have been aiming this line sometimes, but in those times, people around me will bully me. (Laughs) When it’s regarding my work, I would like to people say I’m “cool”. Since I’m singing and dancing, I’m happy to hear this.”

Interviewer: What do you want to do in your next holiday?
Namie: “I want to go see the Aurora (Borealis)! I’m planning to do it for almost 3 years, but it’s always “It’s so cold, so I don’t want to~. I heard that it’s not possible to know when the aurora can be seen, it seems that even if you stay for one week you can’t see it. It will be pity if I go and end up to be unable to see it, so until now I’ve been hesitating. But now I’m kind of addicted to trips, so I’ve been thinking “It’s better to go soon”. Looking at the aurora together with your beloved boyfriend must very romantic.But… since it’s perfect doing plans to protect each other from cold, both will be surely in a very lumpy apparence, right? So, won’t the couple pay more attention to each other’s face expresions? That’s a little embarassing!! (Laughs) Since I probably will seem selfish acting like i’m too cold, I will be enduring with everyone else until I can see the aurora!! Namie: “About my music, I simply want to challenge myself with many things. More than aiming the avarage mark, even if I fail, I want to risk something that gives me experience. In private life… I want to be a woman who don’t let the palpitation in life be exterminated. <3 I will try hard to be a “woman aiming to be popular with men”!! (Laughs) Maybe I should research something about love techniques in magazines?? (Laughs)”

Interviewer: Give an advice for girls in their twenties!
Namie: “Since a long time, I have always admired older actresses and singers and thought “I want to be like that”. I think those people always did a wonderful image at their twenties and thirties. No matter how many years have passed, you may never think “I’m already X years,so I have to”!! Picture the women you admired, and stay lovely no matter how many years have passed. <3″
